Well, as everybody and his next door neighbor is talking about it, I thought I'd chime in with a few links for those interested in finding out about disaster/terrorism preparedness activities in my local area.

Dept. of Homeland Security has a website full of the current "build your own disaster kit" recommendations.
The American Red Cross is the source for many interesting articles, suggestions, and classes. The Stillwater Chapter runs things locally.
The Amateur Radio and Relay League is given air space by the Federal Communications Commission to provide emergency communication and disaster coordination assistance in times of emergency. The local group, Stillwater Amateur Radio Club provides various field days, training, etc. (see more in my Ham Radio page.
